Matted Dog Waiver

Dogs with severely matted coats require extra attention.  Foxy and Friends will not cause serious or undue stress to pets by de-matting.
Mats can be difficult to remove, and may require the pet to be shaved.
Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts, or abrasions. Heavy
matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet’s skin, allowing mold,
fungus or bacteria to grow, and or revealing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. After-effects of the mat removal can include itchiness,
redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, and failure of hair to regrow. In
some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes.

1.  I hereby release Foxy and Friends from any liability associated with any and
all injuries or medical problems that may be uncovered and or occur during the
stripping and de-matting process. Should my pet need veterinarian care after
or during the process of de-matting, I agree to pay any and all veterinarian fees.

2. I acknowledge my part in my dog's present fur condition and understand the limitations it creates for a grooming session in terms of the condition of the fur we have to work, the extra time it takes and the health risks involved.  I will not write any bad reviews or write negative comments online about groomers who are doing their best to help remove the mats in the safest and most comfortable way for my pet.

3.  I understand that there will be an extra charge for the mat removal that varies depending on the severity of the mats, the length of time it takes to remove them safely and the extra wear on our tools (blades are around $50-70 and must be replaced very soon after grooming a matted dog/cat)
