My opinion is that it's been incredibly destructive. It's like the defensive play on this court is just more effective than it has been in previous years. It's much simpler to slide around the court and avoid your task this year. It's also refreshing to NBA 2K22 MT see less dramatic contact dunks this year. It was quite exhausting in 2k21.
Offensively shooting feels a bit more difficult but that's due to the increased defense, not the mechanics of the shot meters. The passing ability is phenomenal on this one. Handling the ball feels smooth. The gameplay has really just been enjoyable during the short days the game has been out.
2K22 returns to its tried-and true shot meter after last year's polarizing change, and I'm finding that generally, I'm taking more open shots earlier in my character's progression than in previous years. It's awful having to play an NBA player and have to be bouncing jumpers all the time, however, I think even players with lower ratings can help this time around.
I think they've identified something they should be leaning towards. I would like to see them lean into rather than giving us the gimmicky side-missions and sponsors in MyCareer. What's the reason for State Farm in Buy NBA 2K MT Coins this game? Do I need to buy insurance? And, why does MyPlayer seem more excited about rapping than basketball?
